Thanks CJ for your interest. A principle part of my practice is correcting bad nose jobs from other doctors. You can see before and after pictures of patients I have treated in the before and after section. I do offer some payment plans. I hope to see you soon.

... interested in having my nose corrected, but am worried about the cost ... do you have a payment plan? ... can you correct a bad nose job? ...

Thanks for you question. Insurance will often pay for breathing difficulties related to a deviated septum. This requires an initial consultation followed by a letter and preapproval process with your insurance carrier. Many of my patients take the opportunity to reshape their nose since they are already under anesthesia. I would be happy to consult with you and work on the insurance approval together.

Hi Dr. Chang,
I was one of the patients you treated at your open house. It was the first time I was at your spa. I just wanted to say that the spa was beautiful, the staff was friendly and professional and most importantly, you made me look great for my daughter's wedding.
I think you are great!

I didn't have a weight issue while I was living in Switzerland for the first 30 years of my life. I used my car maybe once or twice a month. I would walk to most places and if it was further, take the bike and/or train. Ever since I moved here I struggle to stay healthy. It is hard to adapt and exchange the daily active lifestyle that came naturally there with conscientious workout and eating habits here. It's a different lifestyle and culture and I need to adjust... which means I'm gonna head to the gym now by car :)

Several years ago my brother moved to the Netherlands. I was on the phone with him and he mentioned he had lost almost 20lbs. He wasn't really heavy to start with so I asked - have you been trying to lose weight? "Shaya, " he said, "I haven't been in a car in 4 months. We walk or bike everywhere - to work, to the kids schools, to the market."
When we went to visit him, it was true - there was never really a reason to get in the car. At most we would bike to the train station and then take our bikes with us to whatever town we are going to, or rent them there.

Very well written and thought-out, Phil. I don't agree with your conclusion re whether to nationalize or not, but as you say, I don't think that should be the focus. You are dead on with your suggestions for helping the health of our country from both a physical and a fiscal standpoint!

Michael Jackson suffered from discoid lupus, an autoimmune disease which causes the immune system to attack and destroy the healthy tissues of the skin, especially the face and scalp. Discoid lupus can eat away your ear, your nose, scar up your face, make you bald, etc.

To see examples of the horrible disfigurement caused by this disease, which is the same disease that left the singer, Seal, scarred up and bald, Google "discoid lupus" and click Images.

If Michael Jackson did in fact wear a prosthetic nose and this is not just another tabloid rumor, it would be because his real nose was eaten away by discoid lupus.

A doctor who examined MJ during the '93 allegations reported on Geraldo At Large that MJ had only had one or two cosmetic nose jobs, but that all other nose procedures were done to deal with the effects of discoid lupus.
